• Ramadan | Ramadan Basket Distribution Project for Poor Families in the Gaza Strip

  The project justification:
  Baitona for Community Development Association launched the Ramadan campaign "Basket of Charity" to present the Ramadan basket food, under the slogan "Man is our most precious thing," which aims to collect in-kind and cash donations from benefactors and people with merciful hearts for our brothers in Gaza who are in dire need of this assistance.
• The Ramadan campaign is one of the most important seasonal campaigns of the association in an attempt to ease the burdens of vulnerable segments and needy families during the holy month of Ramadan.
  This campaign comes in response to the urgent needs of the people of the Gaza Strip in order to provide some necessary nutritional needs so that we can reduce the financial burden on the breadwinner. The tension in the region and the continuation of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, in addition to the continuation of the blockade for the sixteenth year in a row, led to the exacerbation of the financial situation of the citizens and a severe shortage of food.
  Target group:
  Poor and needy families with limited income
  Central Agency data showed that the poverty rate in the Gaza Strip amounted to (53.0%), and that about a third of the population of the Gaza Strip (33.7%) suffer from extreme poverty. This led to the urgent need to implement food projects, to alleviate the food shortage that those areas suffer from, and help needy families, which contributes to achieving psychological and financial stability among the beneficiary families of the project.
  The Charity Campaign of Ramadan aims to provide food parcels to 500 families in Gaza. It would provide the basics of food for any of the simple families, which contain the appropriate nutritional calories that a person needs daily to enjoy good health and wellness, as they were distributed to the neediest citizens before.

  Develop a distribution plan.
  Choose the best price offers for the required components in the cart.
  Preparing food baskets containing foodstuffs for daily consumption, sufficient for the family for the duration of the holy month of Ramadan.
  Distribute the baskets to the areas previously identified in the distribution plan.
